I know site based bufferbloat tests aren't very reliable, but I noticed something odd when I test my wired PC on waveform's bufferbloat test. If I take the test, I get high download ping and decent upload ping results. However, if I restart my router and take test again, I get great download and upload ping results. What could be causing this ... It made my connection far worse on a 1/1gbps fiber line. Bufferbloat score was A+ often but download speeds dropped SIGNIFICANTLY, and the score would vary wildly between runs. For example, using a 10gbps nic on desktop computer would generate A+ without SQM, while same computer on 1gbps NIC would give me a B-. When I run the bufferbloat test on Waveforms website, I get an A+ bufferbloat rating, but I don't believe it. For example, when I am downloading a linux iso/steam game at line speed, I can hardly browse the internet at all as most pages take 10+ seconds to load and a YT video usually doesn't load at all.
